DoorDash Driver’s Vehicle Stolen in Jonesboro, Totaled in Greene County

JONESBORO, Ark. – Earlier this week, a DoorDash driver picking up an order for a customer experienced a vehicle theft that ultimately resulted in the car being totaled.

The incident unfolded around 2:56 PM on October 2 at McDonald’s located at 2124 Red Wolf Boulevard in Jonesboro. A 27-year-old male DoorDash driver entered the restaurant to collect an order, leaving his car, a black 2009 Chevy Impala, running and unlocked outside. Upon exiting the restaurant, he observed his vehicle being driven away westbound on Sun Avenue. He attempted to follow the stolen vehicle and promptly notified the police.

Shortly thereafter, officers received information from dispatch that the stolen car was being pursued by the Paragould Police Department. The vehicle was finally stopped in Marmaduke, apparently in a wreck because the condition was listed as a total loss.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is handling criminal charges related to this incident, with the suspect facing charges including Theft by Receiving for stealing the vehicle.
