Jonesboro Woman Alleges Battery, Rape, and Kidnapping by Estranged Husband

JONESBORO, Ark. – A Jonesboro woman has come forward, alleging that she was physically assaulted, held against her will, and raped by her estranged husband when she went to pick up her children.

The incident is said to have occurred between 4:45 AM and 9:43 AM on September 25. Most of the information in the police report is redacted to protect the identity of the victim, and NEA Report adheres to a policy of not disclosing identifying information of alleged victims of sexual crimes.

According to the report, the woman contacted the police at the department’s headquarters front desk, visibly distraught. She recounted being assaulted by her separated husband, a 23-year-old white male. The officers who took the report observed minor injuries on the woman, including red marks on her neck and a bite mark on her thumb.

The case is currently under investigation as a possible instance of rape and kidnapping, with potential charges for terroristic threatening (a felony) and assault also being considered. No arrests are listed as of yet in the report.
