JONESBORO, Ark. – Numerous vehicle break-ins were reported over the weekend in Jonesboro, but police also arrested a suspect believed to have been involved in multiple such incidents.
Officers were dispatched to a call for a breaking and entering that had already occurred Friday afternoon at the 200-block of Dunwoody. A black 2020 Mercedes-Benz made a tempting target for the suspect, the report indicates.
While many details in the report remain undisclosed, it ultimately led to the arrest of Adam Glenn Hill, a 45-year-old resident of Jonesboro. Police say the suspect broke into a vehicle and fled the area but was later located. He was found with at least seven stolen debit/credit cards. The report also adds that the suspect was found consuming pills in the rear of the patrol car after his arrest, adding a tampering with evidence charge to his plate.
Regarding this incident, Hill faces charges of possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, tampering with evidence, felonies for breaking and entering and theft of property/credit/debit cards, and a charge for no insurance.
The police report links at least 11 recent reports to the suspect, including this one. Several reports filed over the weekend indicated Hill had allegedly attempted to use stolen cards belonging to one of the victims.
As of this report, Hill is held at the Craighead County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
