JONESBORO, Ark. – A young man is facing felony charges following an incident in which he allegedly intentionally rammed other vehicles with his truck at a local Burger King.
The incident occurred between 1:15 and 2 AM on September 18 at the Burger King located at 1423 S. Caraway Road. The exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, although it would appear the suspect was not having it his way. The incident resulted in significant damage and injuries to at least one individual.
Five victims are listed, with one of them having been transported to a local hospital for treatment according to the police report. Additionally, the report mentions two damaged vehicles, not including the suspect’s damaged maroon Toyota pickup truck.
Eighteen-year-old Conway Austin Smith of Jonesboro was subsequently arrested. He faces felony charges of aggravated assault and criminal mischief, as well as misdemeanor charges for resisting arrest and driving while impaired by drugs (DWI). During the arrest, law enforcement officers employed the use of at least one Taser.
As of the latest update, Smith is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center on a $7,500 bond.
