JONESBORO, Ark. – A Jonesboro man is in custody on multiple charges, including a felony, after police say they found him in possession of a stolen vehicle and drug paraphernalia.
Around 11 p.m. on Sept. 1, near Mulberry and N. Church streets, the Jonesboro Street Crimes Unit spotted a light-colored truck with tags matching a maroon car. Upon approaching the driver, investigators learned he was on probation and had a suspended license. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a glass pipe with suspected meth residue, a THC pen, and a baggie with white residue left inside.
A check of the vehicle’s VIN number revealed it was reported stolen.
Jerry Cornealious Brown, 20, of Jonesboro, was arrested on charges of felony theft by receiving, as well as misdemeanor counts of drug paraphernalia, driving with a cancelled license, fictitious tags, and no proof of insurance.
As of this report, Brown is being held in Craighead County Detention Center on a $30,000 bond.
