Spin Doctors, JUMP, North Mississippi Allstars to Headline Jonesboro BBQ Festival

JONESBORO, Ark. — Spin Doctors, North Mississippi Allstars and Van Halen tribute band JUMP will headline the 16th annual Downtown Jonesboro BBQ & Music Festival, organizers announced Thursday.

The free festival is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday, Sept. 26, in downtown Jonesboro. The event will feature live music, food trucks, arts and retail vendors and the First National Bank Kid Zone.

JUMP will headline the RightFiber Stage on Friday. The tribute band performs songs from Van Halen’s catalog, including “Jump,” “Panama,” “Hot for Teacher” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ’Bout Love.”

Arkansas singer Marybeth Byrd, who appeared on “American Idol” and “The Voice,” and Rush tribute band Natural Science will open Friday’s lineup.

Spin Doctors will headline the RightFiber Stage on Saturday. The Grammy-nominated rock band is known for songs including “Two Princes,” “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and “Jimmy Olsen’s Blues.” Its breakthrough album, “Pocket Full of Kryptonite,” sold more than 5 million copies, according to festival organizers.

That ’70s Band, which performs classic rock, disco and yacht rock, will also perform on the RightFiber Stage on Saturday.

North Mississippi Allstars will headline the MolsonCoors Stage on Saturday. The Grammy-nominated group blends blues, rock, soul and hill country music. Greasy Tree, Bluesnado, Dukes of Hoggard and Bloodhound will also perform on the stage.

Past festival performers have included Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, The Band of Heathens, Al Kapone, Dumpstaphunk, Priscilla Block, Jameson Rodgers, Shane Profitt, Gin Blossoms, Queensrÿche, Morris Day and The Time, Blind Melon, Smash Mouth, Fuel, Scotty McCreery, Bret Michaels, Brothers Osborne, The Commodores, Lee Brice, 38 Special, Rick Springfield, Easton Corbin, Barrett Baber and Night Ranger.

The festival attracts thousands of visitors to downtown Jonesboro each year, according to organizers.
