Jonesboro Man Arrested on Felony Charges for Allegedly Threatening Acquaintance with Firearm

JONESBORO, Ark. — A verbal dispute escalated into a dangerous confrontation early on August 26, leading to the arrest of Dominic Devon Claybrooks, 37, of Jonesboro.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at the 1200-block of Dana Street and involved a 33-year-old resident of that address.

According to the report, the two men, listed as acquaintances, got into an argument that escalated to the point where a firearm was allegedly drawn and used to threaten the victim.

Claybrooks faces charges of aggravated assault and first-degree terroristic threatening, both felonies. Jail records also indicate that he is being held on a parole violation.

Claybrooks also has pending charges for felony possession in Jonesboro District Court stemming from an incident on July 17, 2023.
