
JONESBORO, Ark. – A traffic stop for unconfirmed insurance led to two drug arrests over the weekend in Jonesboro.
It happened around 9:45 PM on August 25, near Highland and Watt Street. Officer Cameron Kelemen initiated the traffic stop on a black 2005 Chevy Trail Blazer after both the insurance showed unconfirmed and the license plate didn’t return to the vehicle it was displayed on.
Police found drugs and paraphernalia on both suspects. A clear pipe suspected of being used to inhale meth was found on the male suspect. A black container with controlled substances inside was found on the female. The report also said the woman had methamphetamine stuffed in her pants.
Chasity Renee Johnston, 44, of Bono and Shon Ray Darr, 51, of Bono, were arrested. The report lists charges including possession of meth with purpose to deliver, possession of schedule 1 or II with purpose of deliver, possession of schedule IV or V with purpose to deliver, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
