Jonesboro Man Arrested on Firearm and Drug Charges; Police Seize 144 Grams of Marijuana, $11,900 in Cash

JONESBORO, Ark. — A probation and parole search led to two arrests and the confiscation of 144 grams of marijuana and over $11,000 in cash on August 22 near East Jackson and Church Street.

Officers arrested Christopher Quartez Brown, 35, of Jonesboro on charges including possession of a firearm by certain persons, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, and possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver.

The search, which took place between 4:42 and 7 p.m., resulted in the discovery of the marijuana individually bagged in various weights, totaling a street value of around $2,000. Police discovered it along with 119 $100 bills totaling $11,900 and a gray revolver.

Probation and parole were conducting the search and contacted the Jonesboro Police Department to assist, who documented the events in a report.
