JONESBORO, Ark. – A robbery at gunpoint was reported Saturday night in Jonesboro and police are investigating.
The Jonesboro Police Department was dispatched at 11:58 p.m. on August 19 to the 500-block of Belt Street, where a robbery had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 31-year-old man who reported that an unknown black male suspect had robbed him at gunpoint.
According to the victim, the suspect displayed a handgun and forcibly stole a gold chain with a large pendant, a gold bracelet with diamonds, and several hundred dollars in cash.
The suspect was seen in an older model blue Toyota Camry. A detailed description of the suspect has not yet been provided.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information that could assist in identifying or locating the suspect to come forward. Tips can be directed to the Jonesboro Police Department, and callers may remain anonymous.
