Jonesboro Property Owner Accuses Property Management Group of Stealing Over $11,000

JONESBORO, Ark. – A property owner in Jonesboro has reported a theft of over $11,000 in rent and security deposits, accusing two individuals of a property management group of collecting funds unauthorized.

The incident was reported to the Jonesboro Police Department (JPD) on August 18, but it seems the issue has been ongoing for some time. The 38-year-old property owner stated that he had been using the two individuals to manage his residential properties for several years. The professional relationship ended in April, but according to the report, the two individuals continued to collect rent thereafter.

In total, $5,250 in stolen rent was allegedly collected by the former property managers, with an additional $6,150 in security deposits due back to the property owner. Once the property owner became aware, the report says he attempted to contact both managers but they would not respond.

The incident is now under active investigation for possible felony theft charges. Most of the details are currently being withheld, as is common during the investigative phase.
