
JONESBORO, Ark. – A routine traffic stop escalated into a pursuit and a lengthy list of charges for Ardell J. Dixon, 32, of Jonesboro.
The incident occurred between 2:22 and 3 PM on August 18 near Clover Drive and Sun Avenue on Tuesday when officers spotted a white Lincoln Town Car displaying license plates that did not match the vehicle.
When authorities initiated the stop, the situation took a turn for the worse, leading to Dixon’s eventual arrest. Much of the specific information is masked but the charges reveal the suspect allegedly fled and resisted arrest. The report also shows that a taser cartridge was used.
According to the police report, Dixon is now facing a multitude of charges including:
- Possession of marijuana
- Obstructing governmental operations
- Fleeing
- Resisting arrest
- No seat belt
- Driving with a canceled license
- Fictitious tags
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- No turn signal
- Running a stop sign
- A failure to appear warrant
