Jonesboro Motel Arrests: Two Women Face Felony Drug and Theft Charges

JONESBORO – Two local women were apprehended on felony charges of possession and theft by receiving this week after a reported theft in progress at a Jonesboro motel, according to a police report.

Between 8:15 and 10:07 PM on August 8, Jonesboro police were dispatched to the Fairview Inn, located at the 3000-block of Apache Drive. The call originated from the front desk clerk, who alerted authorities about suspicious activities at the motel.

Upon arrival, officers arrested Alexis Marie Goodman, 24, of Bay, and Amber Jade Fox, 38, of Jonesboro.

A search of their belongings revealed a plethora of suspicious items, including digital scales labeled with “Alex” on the back, a broken meth pipe, multiple Ziplock baggies, an assortment of debit and credit cards, Dewalt batteries, and various saw blades.

Most notably, authorities discovered a substantial stash of narcotics: 49.2 grams of crystal meth, along with several hydrocodone pills and lorazepam tablets.

The duo now faces felony charges for possession of meth with intent to deliver and additional felony charges related to the unauthorized possession of the other pills. Furthermore, both face felony and misdemeanor theft by receiving charges.
