JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro police are investigating a disturbing incident where a 14-year-old was allegedly attacked and robbed by several juvenile suspects on Saturday night.

According to the report, the incident occurred between 9:30 and 10:19 PM on August 5 at a location masked from public view in Jonesboro. The juvenile victim approached a resident’s door seeking help and subsequently laid down in the middle of the road, possibly due to the injuries. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the teenager with multiple injuries, notably bleeding knees.

The young victim narrated a chilling account of the events leading up to the assault. He was at a party when several males told him to leave “because the victim was gay and they didn’t want the victim there.”

As he left, three shirtless black male suspects, believed to be between the ages of 14 and 18 and sporting dreadlocks, followed and caught up with him. They physically assaulted the victim before making away with his phone.

Others at the party eventually found and returned the phone to the victim.

Upon gathering this information, the police promptly contacted the guardian of the injured juvenile, who then took him into her care.

Despite the description given by the victim, the authorities admit they have minimal leads on the identity or whereabouts of the suspects. If you have any information which could assist police, you’re urged to submit a tip.
