Armed Burglars Enter Jonesboro Apartment, Demand Cash

JONESBORO, Ark. – An armed burglary occurred Saturday night in Jonesboro as four unidentified suspects broke into a woman’s apartment, demanding money and making off with cash and valuable electronics.

The incident took place between 9:55 and 10:10 PM on July 22, at a residence located in the 1000-block of N. Main Street. The victim, a 35-year-old female, was apparently home alone when the intrusion occurred.

The suspects, armed with firearms, forced entry and demanded money from the victim, according to the report. They stole a PlayStation 5 gaming console and $325 in cash before fleeing the scene.

While one of the suspects has been identified as male, the genders of the other three remain uncertain. The victim did not recognize any of the perpetrators, according to the police report.

Jonesboro police continue to investigate the incident. The suspects, once apprehended, will face severe charges including aggravated residential burglary, a class “Y” felony. This charge carries a potential prison sentence ranging from ten to forty years.

Police urge anyone with information about the incident or suspects to come forward to aid the investigation.
