JONESBORO, Ark. – On June 13, a woman was reportedly shot at by a female suspect following a confrontation about a car collision, according to a police report.
The incident occurred between 7:15 PM and 7:46 PM near the intersection of Caraway Commons Drive (private drive) and S. Caraway Road. The report states that a 27-year-old female victim confronted a 30-year-old female suspect regarding a car that had allegedly hit her vehicle. During the confrontation, the victim claims that the suspect fired a shot at her. Thankfully, no injuries or property damage were reported.
The described events, if accurate, could potentially qualify as a felony aggravated assault, which is a Class D felony carrying a maximum sentence of six years in prison. Additional charges, such as discharging a firearm in the city or committing a terroristic act, may also be considered based on the investigation findings.
As of now, no arrests have been made; however, it appears that the police have obtained information regarding the identity of the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
