On September 9th, 2022, the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding Sexual Indecency with a Child. Over the past few months, detectives from the Sheriff’s Office diligently investigated the complaint.
On June 8th, 2023, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Ryan Armstrong, a 32-year-old resident of Concord. On June 12th, 2023, detectives apprehended Armstrong and took him into custody, subsequently booking him at the Cleburne County Jail. The charges against him include Rape (Class Y Felony), Sexual Assault 2nd (Class B Felony), and Distributing, Possessing, or Viewing of Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child (Class C Felony). The warrant specified a bond amount of $150,000, which Armstrong posted shortly after his arrival at the jail, resulting in his release.
It was discovered that Armstrong had served as a volunteer temporary caregiver for The Call, a local foster organization, and was also a martial arts instructor in the Concord area.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about potential victims to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 501-362-8143.
