Suspect arrested after allegedly choking, threatening victim with knife

JONESBORO, Ark. – A suspect was arrested last week in Jonesboro after a report alleged he placed a female victim in a choke hold and more during what appeared to be a case of domestic violence.

The incident itself happened between 9 AM April 25 and 4 AM April 26 at the 3100-block of Meador Drive. Authorities learned of the incident the next day when the alleged victim went to the police station to report the incident. Most of the report is masked but her allegations included being placed in a choke hold. She said the suspect threatened to kill her with a knife, punched and kicked her in the face. A second degree kidnapping charge was present in the report, indicating she may have been prevented from escaping.

A male suspect, 29, was arrested in the incident, the report said. He faces charges including aggravated assault on a family/household member and first degree terroristic threatening, both felonies. There are also pending charges for domestic battering, kidnapping, and possession of marijuana.
