JONESBORO, Ark. – A major theft was reported this morning to the Jonesboro Police Department.
It happened at the business “Kam Kollection,” 2005 East Highland Drive, sometime between January 21 and January 26, when the report was filed. The building owner noticed the burglary Thursday morning and contacted the renter, who arrived a short time later. Responding police noted the front door was propped open with a shelf from inside of the business and merchandise was thrown all over, including in the grass outside the front of the store.
The renter/business owner arrived and walked through it with police, telling them her store had been locked up since Saturday (1/21). Sometime between then and Thursday, someone completely ransacked the place. Clothes racks were turned over, clothes thrown all over the store, glass was broken and holes were in the wall.
The report lists a large amount of stolen property:
- $10,000 in cash
- Six boxes of clothes valued at $3,700 a box ($22,200 total)
- $4,000 in clothes stolen from the rack
- $3,000 in various items damaged or broken
The listed items were only the items known to be missing for certain and more could be added, the report indicated.
Police noted no signs of forced entry.
