Suspect jailed on charges including sexual indecency with a child

A man was arrested on Friday in Jonesboro and faces serious charges related to a missing child from Missouri.

On November 19, Jonesboro police were asked to assist with locating a missing child from Missouri who was believed to be within the city limits. Officers with second-shift patrol located the juvenile female at a residence on Thomas Green Road during a “knock and speak.”

Shuan Thomas was arrested at the scene for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia that was located in plain view when the officers entered the residence, police said. Thomas was taken to the department.

During the interview with Internet Crimes Against Children investigator Bill Brown, police say Thomas admitted to traveling to Missouri and transporting the child across state lines on several occasions.

Thomas is charged with a Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Sexual Indecency with a Child, Interference with Custody, and Sexual Assault 4th Degree.

His bond was set at $100,000 cash surety.
