Woman reports dogs worth $20,000 stolen; Man arrested after child alleges assault; Other police reports released Monday by JPD

The following are summaries of police reports released on Monday, 1/11/2021, by the Jonesboro Police Department. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court.

A woman alleges that four French Bulldogs valued at $20,000 were stolen from her between 2/01 and 2/14/2020.

A report on Friday between 10 and 11 AM at the 2500-block of East Nettleton Avenue indicates that police found a sword in the road. It had a white dragon shaped handle.

A woman was arrested for going 50 miles per hour in a 20 mph zone, reckless driving, and endangering the welfare of a minor after being pulled over with a child not properly restrained. The report states it happened after 7:30 PM on 1/10 at the intersection of Fairfield and Fairview. Batchelor Latrina Victoya, 22, of Jonesboro, was arrested.

A residential burglary was reported after 2 PM on 1/8 at the 3700-block of Schley Street. A suspect broke a window to gain access to the home.

A cyclist was severely injured after being struck by a vehicle on 1/8 around 6:30 PM. The location was masked in the report released by police. The right wrist/hand was broken, the officer noted. No arrest was made.

A felony theft report around 9 PM on 1/8 at the 300-block of Brookshire Drive indicates that suspects stole building supplies on multiple occasions to the tune of a felony amount (over $1,000)

A suspect is accused of choking and throwing to the ground his girlfriend, in addition to being in possession of a stolen firearm. Between 4 AM and 5:50 AM on 1/9 at the 2500-block of Forest Home Road, Walter Keonta Davis, 34, was arrested for felony theft by receiving, and possession of firearm by certain persons, in addition to misdemeanor domestic battering. Alcohol was a suspected factor.

A man reported his firearm stolen from a hotel at the 3000-block of S. Caraway Road between 9 PM on 1/8 and midnight.

Police arrested a man for allegedly possessing crack after they say he ran from officers into a residence when they tried to stop him. Around 10 AM on 1/9 at the 500-block of Melrose Street, Ricky Walker, 48, of Jonesboro, was arrested for felony possession meth or cocaine and of sch 1 or 2; no drivers license, and fleeing.

An ATV theft was reported around 12:23 PM on 1/9 at the 300-block of N. Drake Street. It was a red four-wheeler valued at $7,500.

A residential burglary was reported around 6:27 PM on 1/9 at the 100-block of Leggett Street.

A woman filed a report after witnessing what she described as a felony battery by a mother hitting her children in the parking lot of Walmart on Parker Road. The report states it happened around 4:30 on 1/9. No arrests were listed, as it was reported later.

Police made two arrests after a traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle late at night. Around 11:25 PM at the intersection of Parkview and Wood, Officer Evan Henry was on patrol and noticed a dark colored SUV traveling north while going unusually slow. The driver made a turn without signaling at least 100 feet ahead of the intersection, as required by law, the officer noted. After making the traffic stop, two baggies of meth, scales, and warrants were found. Hayden Hess, 28, of Searcy and James Darrell Williams, 55, of Judsonia were both arrested. Hess faces charges of possession of meth with intent to deliver. Williams is being held for an out of town warrant.

Police responded to the 3700-block of Churchill Drive just before midnight on 1/9 where a large house party was taking place with cars blocking the street. The report, which is mostly masked, says a suspect possessed narcotics and a firearm, resisted arrest and attempted to flee. Theo Walker, 30, of Forrest City, was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges.

A report filed early on 1/10 states that a suspect pointed a firearm at victims and threatened them at the 600-block of Marshall Street. No arrests were made.

A break-in happened at a residence at the 700-block of Southwest Drive between 5 PM on 1/9 and 4:17 AM on 1/10, with the entire apartment being ransacked when officers arrived. Several thousand dollars worth of items were reported stolen.

A side door was busted in and items stolen from a residence at the 1600-block of Aggie Road, a report on 1/10 said. It happened between 12/22 and 1/10. A PS4 and 55″ TV were stolen.

A report between 8 and 9 AM on 1/10 at the 2000-block of W. Nettleton said a suspect choked a victim and threatened to kill her. She was prevented from leaving the residence until the evening, too, which constitutes kidnapping. No arrests were made.

A man was arrested on a felony charge of terroristic threatening after a three year old child alleged sexual assault. Jacob Zachary Stewart, 21, of Jonesboro, was arrested for felony terroristic threatening and is under investigation for sexual assault.

A suspect is alleged to have made threats with a knife and shoved his girlfriend before being arrested with drug paraphernalia. Alexander Timothy Baccari, 23, of Jonesboro, was arrested after 7:30 PM on 1/10 at the 1700-block of W. Nettleton Avenue.

Suspects forced entry with crowbars into a home at the 3300-block of Turtle Creek Road sometime after 7:20 PM on 1/10. A theft was committed.

A suspect allegedly forced his way into a residence and pointed a gun at victims after 8:10 PM on 1/10 at the 600-block of Marshall Street. Police responded to the call being told shots had been fired, although that was not immediately verified in the visible portion of the report. No arrests were made.

A suspect was arrested early Monday morning at the 2100-block of Greenwood Street for possession with intent to deliver after a traffic stop for improper headlights. Around 5 AM on 1/11, Hany E. Elbahga, 40, of Jonesboro, was arrested.
