Jonesboro police alerted the public of a shooting incident Tuesday night in the Cedar Heights area.
In a social media update at 8:15pm, authorities wrote, “JPD is on scene of a shooting at Cedar Heights/Melrose.”
At 8:36 PM, police updated that two gunshot victims were being treated at local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

In what police said was the final update of the night, at 9:06pm, authorities wrote the shooting incident happened at 300 block of Russell. CID is on scene investigating and search for fled suspect is ongoing.
It began as a shots fired call that came in at 7:54 PM.
