JONESBORO, Ark. – Jonesboro authorities used the public’s help to find the identity of a man in a vehicle theft investigation on Tuesday.
On Friday, June 12, the man seen in the photos above went into a local dealership to look at vehicles, a release by the Jonesboro Police Department said. A salesman showed him a pre-owned, white Chevy Impala. They both entered the vehicle to discuss prices and at one point, the customer had possession of the key-ring that contained two keys and started the engine.
The customer stated that he would be back at noon to finish the transaction, but never showed.
On Monday, June 16, the salesman handed the keys over to another associate when he noticed that a duplicate key was missing from the key-ring. After reviewing the security footage, it was discovered that the vehicle was taken from their lot around 7:08 p.m. on June 12th.
Police updated the post later Tuesday morning indicated they had the suspect’s identity.
