Counterfeit money, drugs, guns found during search warrant; Plus other reports released Thursday by JPD

JONESBORO, Ark. – Drugs, guns, and arrests came from a search warrant by the Street Crimes Unit Wednesday in Jonesboro.

The warrant was executed after 5:13 PM Wednesday evening at Wolf Creek Apartments, 500 N Caraway Road in Jonesboro. Triston Andrew Lancaster, 20, and James Laderal Yancy, 20, were arrested at the scene.

Authorities found counterfeit money, at least four guns, ammunition including a 50-round drum magazine, promethazine, codeine, marijuana (541 grams in total), boxes of baggies, and scales.

Much of the report was masked but the suspects all face felony charges for the incident, ranging from simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms to possession, to tampering with evidence and finally, hindering apprehension.


Other reports of significance released Thursday by JPD

A man was criminally banned from Honda of Jonesboro after authorities caught him taking used tires from the dealership. Police were dispatched at about 3:43 AM Wednesday to 3003 East Parker Road after a caller from the alarm company said they were watching a suspected thief load up tires into a gray SUV. Police performed a traffic stop on the vehicle after responding to the area and found the tires, and the suspect. The suspect, for whatever reason, took damaged tires from the back of the dealership. Fortunately for him, the management decided not to have him criminally charged – but they did have him criminally banned from the premises.

A 15-year-old busted out a window and glass door and ran away from Consolidated Youth Services late Wednesday.

A suspect was arrested after being stopped for fictitious tags shortly before midnight in Jonesboro. Calvin Louis Scott, 29, of Jonesboro, was driving a stolen car, police reported, when he was stopped at Easy St and Alpine. His license was invalid as well and police reportedly found a gun and several types of ammunition on him.

While unloading groceries Wednesday afternoon in Jonesboro, a woman reported that a man pulled up next to her and began masturbating in his car. The location was masked but it happened at about 1:32 PM. Most other information in the report was masked. No arrests were noted. The charge would have been misdemeanor indecent exposure.

A disturbance with weapons call ended with a woman being arrested. It happened around 1 PM at Race Street in Jonesboro. The suspect allegedly swung a bat at the victim, a 15-year-old, then threatened to shoot up the house. Lashundra C. Clark, 30, was arrested for felony aggravated assault and terroristic threatening.

Someone shot out a large window with a pellet gun sometime between Monday and Wednesday at the 2800-block of Wood Street.
