
JONESBORO, Ark. – When a woman went to her storage unit for the first time in three months, she found the lock cut. She had been the victim of a theft.
The report was taken Friday at the 4100-block of Highway 349 in Craighead County. Sometime between December and March 6, an unknown suspect or suspect broken into a storage unit by cutting the lock. The only items missing were four sky blue tote bags but it was what was inside that had value to the victim. The bags contained toys and clothes that belonged to her late son. The report with Craighead County Sheriff’s Office says the clothes and toys were received from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during his stay there.
It didn’t appear anything else in the unit was disturbed or stolen.

An abandoned white Toyota Land Cruiser was left in the northbound lane of Craighead County Road 391. At about 9 AM Sunday, a deputy had it towed.
A man reported his dog was intentionally struck by a suspect on a blue sport quad/ATV. It happened at the 500-block of Craighead Road 361 in Bono. The dog’s owner reported the incident after 7 PM Sunday, telling the deputy his dog was standing in the road. The ATV accelerated, intentionally striking the dog, the man said. The dog’s back left leg was injured but it appeared to have survived. Extra patrols are planned for the area.
