HOXIE, Ark. – Smoke was seen billowing out of the top floor of the Ole Hickory BBQ restaurant around noon on Wednesday.
Fire crews responded to 310 South Texas Street, Ole Hickory, on Wednesday. One officer noted over dispatch radio that it appeared the fire was in the attic.
Fire fighters were seen on the second floor with some smoke also coming out of the building. Video shared with permission by Dienece Smith shows crews entering the attic by breaking glass.
There’s no word on the cause or the extent of the damages to the interior.
It’s not the first time Ole Hickory has been in flames in Hoxie, as many pointed out on social media. In July, 2010, virtually all fire crews in Lawrence County battled a blaze at Ole Hickory. There were no injuries but the building the restaurant was in was a total loss, according to Imboden Live.
