WBC Golf Tourney Fields Record Number of Teams

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. –  The 2017 Williams Baptist College Golf Tournament attracted 23 teams, a record number for the event, and raised more than $10,000 for the WBC athletic department.  The four-person scramble was held Friday, May 19, at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro.

Winning first place in the “A” flight was the team of Ty Jones, Clara Tefteller, Matt Dillon and Lana Guinn.  The team, sponsored by The Wolf 106.5 FM, shot a 54.  Jones is head coach of the Williams men’s and women’s golf teams.

WBC Announces 2017 Graduates

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – Williams Baptist College awarded degrees to 102 graduates during its 2017 commencement exercises Saturday, May 13.  The graduates represented 31 Arkansas counties, 10 states and three nations.

A crowd of over 1,000 filled WBC’s Southerland-Mabee Center for the ceremony.  The commencement address was delivered by U.S. Senator John Boozman, and graduating senior Alexus Clardy of Conway, Ark., spoke on behalf of the class of 2017. Continue reading “WBC Announces 2017 Graduates”
