JONESBORO, Ark. – The same side of Jonesboro that experienced a shooting incident late Wednesday was rocked again by a shooting early Thursday that hospitalized a man.
A second shooting incident (or third, if you count gunshots heard during our live stream) occurred at a nearby location early Thursday morning in Jonesboro. Police were advised by a witness that the incident took place on Burke Ave near Olive Street. During the Wednesday night incident, a witness told NEA Report that a fight at a park on Olive Street led to the altercation on Vine.
At about 6:25 AM August 1, 2019, a black male was taken to a local hospital in a personal vehicle. The victim appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was last reported in surgery.
No suspects have been arrested at this time and the shooting is currently under investigation.
