JPD investigating burglary, kidnapping report

JONESBORO, Ark. – A report has been made with Jonesboro police alleging an early morning burglary and subsequent kidnapping of a victim on Tuesday.

On July 9, 2019 at approximately 2:00 a.m., JPD officers responded to an address on Willow Rd. in reference to an aggravated residential burglary and kidnapping that had actually occurred at the 200 block of Nisbett.

Witnesses advised officers that a black male wearing a red hoodie came into the residence, brandished a firearm and took personal items from the occupants inside the residence. They advised that the subject then ordered the lone male subject out of the residence at gunpoint and left the area.

The witnesses advised they called for a ride and once they were safe, they contacted police. The subject that was taken from the scene, later arrived back at the scene and advised he had been released by the suspect who took him.
