JONESBORO, Ark. – A woman who brought found property to police was found to have warrants and meth and after a little resistance, was arrested.

At about 10 AM Sunday at Matthews and Gee Street in Jonesboro, Bobbie Jo Ring, 39, of Jonesboro, was reported to have contacted Officer Jonathan Haggans with Jonesboro Police Department. It says in the incident report she was contacting him in reference to found property but after the officer ran her name and date of birth, he found her to have two warrants through the City. He told her about the warrants and to put her hands behind her back but the report says she stated she didn’t want to.

The officer told her several times, he indicated, before he attempted to place Ring in cuffs but she began to pull away. He was able to place her in handcuffs and added a refusal submit charge to the warrants she was facing.

Prior to putting her in the back seat and while searching her, the officer reported the woman told him she had a small baggie of meth in her jacket pocket. It was about $20 worth, the report said.

She faces a felony charge for the drugs and misdemeanors for the charges of resisting arrest and failure to appear.
