A shooting has left one injured this afternoon in Jonesboro.
Members of the Jonesboro Police Department responded to a residence in the 1400 Block of West Huntington Avenue in central Jonesboro on Sunday around 1:20 pm in regards to a shooting.
The shooting left one injured and transported to a local Hospital and another jailed for charges of battery in the 1s degree.
Officer arrived on scene where the victim, Donald Hampton, 66 of Paducah, KY, advised that he had been shot twice by his roommate Rosario Vela, 60 of Jonesboro, had done it.
Hampton was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for his non-life-threatening injuries and is currently still under medical care. Vela will be taken before a judge on Tuesday for probable cause and bond hearing
