First new ground-up restaurant development on Caraway Road in years
JONESBORO, Ark. – A new Texas Roadhouse restaurant will soon light up Caraway Road in Jonesboro. This marks the first new restaurant developed from the ground-up on Caraway in a decade, developer Josh Brown said.
Haag Brown Commercial announced Monday that Texas Roadhouse is coming to town, officially. The highly sought after restaurant chain will be located on the last remaining out-parcel of the Caraland Development. The lot is between Tommy’s Express Car Wash and the Kroger Marketplace.
“Caraway Road has re-emerged as a viable location for new tenants entering the market and I cite Texas Roadhouse as proof,” Haag Brown Commercial Principal Josh Brown said. “To my knowledge, this will be the first ground up restaurant development that has happened along Caraway in over a decade.”
Texas Roadhouse is a rapidly expanding restaurant brand that started in 1993 and has grown to over 527 locations both nationally and internationally, a press release said. The restaurant is famous for several things like its tender ribs, made-from-scratch sides, and fresh baked bread. However, their hand-cut steaks are described as legendary. Steaks account for 44% of their menu.
This announcement comes less than one year after Haag Brown Commercial released the sale and re-development plans for the former Indian Mall at the intersection of Caraway Road and Highland Drive.
Haag Brown Commercial is the project’s exclusive developer. CJ Cropper of Crest Realty Advisors in Little Rock, Arkansas represented Texas Roadhouse Holdings LLC in the transaction.
The Texas Roadhouse restaurant will span over 7,000 square feet and is scheduled to open to customers in the 3rd Quarter of 2019.
