“Sick joke,” said police
WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – A juvenile is in custody for making a school shooting threat in Walnut Ridge.
Walnut Ridge Police Department notified the public via Facebook they were aware of the rumor. Many reached out to NEA Report regarding the threat.
WRPD said the statement, made by a juvenile, was later admitted to be a sick joke. However, shooting threats are no joke to authorities. The juvenile has since been transported to a secure facility.
Police say there is no credible threat to the school.
