Suspect caught scrapping kids' stolen bicycles

MELBOURNE, Ark. – Izard County Sheriff’s Department officers stayed busy in the past week, according to Chief Deputy Earnie Blackley.

Charles Russell Earl, 64, was arrested on methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia charges. A hold was placed on Earl by Arkansas probation and parole. Formal charges will follow.

On April 8, Johnny Wayne Stowe, 44, was charged with Theft by Receiving – Scrap Metal – a Class A misdemeanor. Stow was allegedly scrapping two kids’ bicycles and owner found them. Stowe bonded out on a $200 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Melbourne District Court on May 4.

On April 5, Johnathan Shawn Milton, 29, was charged with driving with suspended license. Milton has a $365 cash or pro bond. Milton is to appear in Izard County District Court in Horseshoe Bend on May 2nd.

On April 4, Daniel Isaac Yancey, 35, was arrested for failure to pay fines and failure to appear. Yancey had a bond of $1,240. Yancey is to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on April 27th.

On April 2, Tim Samuel Greenway, 31, was charged with possession of control substance (marijuana) – a class A misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia – a class A misdemeanor. Greenway had a bond of $2,370. Greenway is to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on May 4th.

On April 8, William Paul Gillepsie, 50, was arrested and charged with reckless driving and DWI 1st offense. Gillepsie had a bond of $1,010 pro bond. Gillepsie is to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on June 29th.

On April 8, John Michael Payne, 53, was arrested and charged with reckless driving and DWI 1st offense. Payne had a $1,010 pro bond. Payne is to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on June 29th.

On April 3, Dan Meldron Holland, 45, was charged with failure to pay fines. Holland was released on a court order from Judge Miller. Holland is to appear in Izard County District Court in Horseshoe Bend on April 4th.

On April 7, Kyle Bradley Taylor, 26, was arrested for driving while license suspended or revoked. Taylor had a $365 cash bond. Taylor is to appear on May 18 in Izard County District Court in Melbourne.

On April 9, Jerry Patrick Walsh, 27, was arrested and charged with Failure to pay fines. Walsh has a $2,180 cash bond. Walsh is to appear in Izard County District Court in Melbourne on May 4.
