JONESBORO, Ark. – A local man was killed in a traffic accident late Thursday in Craighead County.
It happened at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, according to an Arkansas State Police crash report. Keith Spranger Jr, 56, of Jonesboro, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet northbound on Nestle Road. At the Deer Lake Road intersection, state police say Spranger’s truck crossed the center line, striking a 2015 semi-truck head on.
Spranger was pronounced dead at the scene by the Craighead County Coroner. No other injuries were reported from the wreck.
Conditions were listed as dry and clear at the time of the early morning accident.
