City of Jonesboro sanitation routes for MLK week

The City of Jonesboro will observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 16. As such, the sanitation schedule has been revised and changes are outlined below.

Monday, January 16 – CLOSED

Tuesday, January 17 – Monday and Tuesday Routes

Wednesday, January 18 – Finish Tuesday and Wednesday Routes

Thursday, January 19 – Thursday Route

Friday, January 20 – Friday Route

If the Tuesday route doesn’t get fully picked up on Tuesday, they will finish it first thing Wednesday morning.

A&P Commissioner dies suddenly at home

JONESBORO, Ark. – The chair of the Jonesboro Advertising and Planning Commission has unexpectedly died. Thom Emerson Beasley died suddenly at his home Tuesday. Beasley, who served on the A&P Commission from June, 20 2006 until his unexpected passing Nov. 29, was involved in the Craighead County Farm Bureau as its manager. [read more…]
