Jonesboro police have arrested a suspect in connection with two recent aggravated robberies of the Dollar General store at 1616 N. Church Street.
Officers took Casey Lewis, 22, of Jonesboro into custody after Lewis was recognized by officers from multiple law enforcement agencies after video from the holdup this morning was aired on television and still photos from the video were posted by NEA Report.
Detectives Mike Branscum and Vic Brooks, who are continuing the investigation, expect to take Lewis before the District Court Tuesday for a probable cause hearing on two counts of aggravated robbery for this morning’s holdup and for the robbery of the same store on Nov. 9.
In both robberies, a lone gunman entered the store and demanded that employees fill a bag that he provided with money from the till. The man, armed with a handgun, then fled the store on foot.
