WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – Gorditas, burritos supreme, quesadillas and soft-shell tacos, meat and cheese only of course, well they’re all one step closer to being made for the residents of Walnut Ridge.
The building permit for Taco Bell to build in Walnut Ridge was issued Monday morning, according to Fire Chief Frank Owens.
“We just signed for them to start construction,” Owens told NEA Report.
JTB Development Co. purchased the permit. The hope, according to Mayor Charles Snapp, is for the project to be finished mid-to-late October.
“There’ll be job announcements coming out the closer it nears to completion and they’re anticipating hiring 45 to 50 employees. It’s going to be a great addition to town. This will be the final phase of construction work that will start.”
Snapp added the hope, weather permitting, is to begin making progress as early as next Monday.
