JONESBORO, Ark. — One person is dead and another has been detained in connection with a shooting Wednesday night in Jonesboro.
According to Jonesboro Police, officers responded around 8:15 p.m. to the 4400 block of Southbrook Drive following reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where he later died.
Police said a person of interest has since been detained in another county.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released at this time.
