Suspect Arrested After Allegedly Recording Woman in Restroom at Jonesboro Workplace

JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect was arrested after police say he attempted to record a woman inside a restroom at a Jonesboro workplace, according to an affidavit.

Terry Alexander Hatcher, 29, of Monette, was arrested on Thursday, March 5, on a charge of video voyeurism, a Class D felony.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a detective began investigating a termination report involving Hatcher at a workplace in the 2500 block of King Street on Feb. 23, 2026. The report stated Hatcher had been caught recording another employee while she was in the restroom.

Police said video evidence showed Hatcher kneeling near the restroom door with a cellphone and leaning toward the bottom of the door with the phone. He is then seen standing abruptly, putting the phone away and leaving the area, according to the affidavit.

During an interview with investigators, Hatcher allegedly admitted to the act, telling police he knew the victim was inside the restroom and knelt by the door in an attempt to view her through the gap at the bottom, according to the affidavit.

Hatcher’s bail was set at $50,000 cash or surety by Special Judge Barbara Halsey. His next court date is scheduled for April 23.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
