JONESBORO — A 21-year-old man is accused of forcing his way into a woman’s private bedroom inside an Arkansas State University residence hall and assaulting her during a late-night disturbance, according to a probable-cause affidavit from A-State police.
Officers were dispatched around 11:15 p.m. on Nov. 19 to a residence hall on the A-State campus for a reported domestic disturbance. The alleged victim told officers that Christian Raylangdon Horner, 21, forced his way into her bedroom and began a physical altercation with her. During the incident, Horner allegedly took the victim’s phone and threw it across the room.
Officers reported seeing bruising on the alleged victim consistent with the description of the assault.
According to the affidavit, Horner gained access to the common area of the suite by entering with one of the victim’s suitemates. However, the alleged victim did not give him permission to enter her private bedroom. Police noted that each bedroom inside the suite is considered a private residence and cannot be accessed without permission from the lessee.
The affidavit also states that Horner and the alleged victim had previously been involved in a romantic relationship.
Christian Raylangdon Horner, 21, was arrested on charges of residential burglary, a Class B felony, and third-degree domestic battering. His next court date is set for Dec. 16.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
