PARAGOULD, Ark. — A road rage incident that began on Highway 412 ended with a hit-and-run arrest in Paragould, according to police.
Officers were dispatched on Oct. 31 to the 700 block of South 6½ Street regarding a hit-and-run crash. When they arrived, the victim told officers the incident started as a road rage encounter on Highway 412 and that the suspect, identified as Dillon Wadley, 26, followed him to a residence on 6½ Street.
As the victim began to park, Wadley allegedly intentionally rear-ended the vehicle, causing significant damage to the victim’s bumper, police said.
Officers located Wadley a short time later and took him into custody. Investigators discovered he had no insurance and four prior convictions for the same offense, according to the report.
During a Mirandized interview, police said Wadley made self-incriminating statements about the incident.
Wadley is charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a Class D felony; second-degree assault, a Class B misdemeanor; and no insurance, a misdemeanor.
Bail has not yet been set.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
