PARAGOULD, Ark. — A suspect was arrested Friday on a Class Y felony charge for alleged rape in Paragould.
Larry Manes, 39, was arrested for rape on Oct. 31, 2025. Jail records show he was booked at 11:24 AM.
The probable cause affidavit states that on Oct. 27, the alleged victim reported to the Paragould Police Department that defendant Larry Manes had “forcefully had sex with her against her will and while she actively resisted and told him to stop.”
Detective Lt. Robert E. Sexton wrote that police were provided with audio evidence that corroborated the allegation.
The detective reported that after interviewing Manes, he waived his Miranda rights and made incriminating statements.
Bail has not yet been set for Manes.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
