JONESBORO, Ark. — A seventh suspect has been arrested on a charge of first-degree battery in connection with the downtown fight that escalated into a brutal attack on Oct. 5 in downtown Jonesboro.
Glenn Lee Jackson, 29, of Missouri, appeared in district court on Wednesday, although his paperwork was not ready by the time court began. Because of this, Judge David Boling set a temporary bond of $20,000 cash or surety. Jackson must return to court on Friday, when it is anticipated police will have completed his probable cause affidavit.
Jackson noted he was previously arrested for the “Brickhouse” incident, referring to a disorderly conduct arrest that happened the night of the event. He asked whether his previous arrest for disorderly conduct would be brought together in the same case, but the judge said that had not yet been determined.
So far, the suspects arrested in the case for first-degree battery are:
- Glenn Lee Jackson, 29, of Mo.
- Shawn Damarcus Kinnon, 23, of Steele, Mo.
- Kenneth Dewayne Amerson, 22, of Steele, Mo.
- Dashawn Cortez Pruitt, 29, of Steele, Mo.
- Mark Jones Jr., 21
- Tawonn Amerson, 21, of Blytheville
- Mataiya Sky Phillips, 19
In addition, on the night of the incident, separate arrests were made for misdemeanor disorderly conduct for Kenneth Amerson, Tawonn Amerson, Jackson Guy, Justyce Martinez, Glenn Jackson, and Houston Darr.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
