Paragould Police Arrest Man with Prior Convictions for Theft

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A suspect with a record of theft was arrested again recently in Paragould.

Officers responded on March 14 to a report of theft at a local store, according to the probable cause affidavit. Employees informed them that individuals in the parking lot had stolen merchandise.

Police made contact with Nathan McDaniel in the parking lot and confirmed he was in possession of stolen property, the affidavit said. Further investigation revealed McDaniel had also taken items from a neighboring store.

Officers later determined McDaniel had multiple prior theft convictions.

McDaniel was taken into custody as the investigation continued. He faces a charge of Theft of Property, a Class D felony.

Judge Dan Stidham set his bail at $10,000 cash-only with a no-contact order and GPS ankle monitor required.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
