Woman Arrested After Facebook Live Bragging Leads to Vehicle Theft Charge in Jonesboro

JONESBORO, Ark. — A woman who allegedly stole a vehicle in Jonesboro and bragged about it on Facebook Live found herself behind bars facing charges for the incident.

Senetra Miller, 34, of Bryant, faces charges including Theft of a Vehicle, Greater than $5,000 but Less than $25,000, a Class C felony. She appeared before Judge Barbara Halsey for her probable cause hearing on Monday. Bail was set at $50,000 cash or surety.

The probable cause affidavit states that on Jan. 6, Jonesboro officers were dispatched to a vehicle theft on Melrose Drive. The alleged victim said on Jan. 4, she and Senetra Miller went to the Brickhouse for drinks. They left at 2 a.m. on Jan. 5 and returned home. The next morning, the alleged victim noticed her vehicle was gone. She tried to call Miller but the calls were never answered.

Then, on Jan. 9, Miller went on Facebook Live and allegedly said, “When I calm down I might just tell her where her cars at.” When reading comments, detectives noted subjects were telling her to get her money first or get her money’s worth. Miller responded she wasn’t getting back in that car.

A witness sent police a photo of the missing car getting gas in Helena on Jan. 10. Police pulled video and found it to show Miller wearing the same outfit she had on in her live video.

Miller’s next court date is April 24.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
