JONESBORO, Ark. — KLEK 102.5 F.M. is proud to host its Mental Health Fair on November 9 at Allen Park in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and is inviting mental health professionals from Northeast Arkansas to participate. The event will feature a panel discussion on key mental health topics, as well as booths where local professionals can showcase their services and interact directly with the community.
This event aims to address the growing need for accessible mental health resources while helping dispel the stigma surrounding mental health treatment. Professionals participating in the panel discussion will share insights, answer questions, and engage in conversations around topics such as mental health challenges, treatment options, and ways to reduce barriers to care.
In addition to the panel, professionals are invited to set up booths where they can offer information about the services they provide, share educational materials, and connect with community members one-on-one. The booths will give attendees the chance to explore mental health resources, learn about available treatments, and build relationships with local providers.
“This event is about making mental health support more visible and accessible to the people of Jonesboro and beyond,” said Allie Tabor, Program Director of KLEK 102.5 F.M. “Both the panel discussion and the booths will give mental health professionals the opportunity to engage with the community, educate people on their services, and foster meaningful conversations around mental wellness.”
Mental health professionals interested in joining the panel or setting up a booth are encouraged to RSVP by October 11, 2024 by contacting Allie Tabor at alliej@klekfm.org. Participation is free of charge, and both the panel and booth spaces provide excellent opportunities to raise awareness about the vital mental health services available in the area.
The event is free and open to the public, and attendees are invited to learn more about mental health resources, ask questions, and build a greater understanding of the support available in their community.
