Report Alleges Suspect With Box Cutter Attacked Woman at Jonesboro Intersection

JONESBORO, Ark. — An allegation of a suspect attacking a woman while holding a box cutter in Jonesboro is being investigated as a possible case of aggravated assault.

The incident report released by the Jonesboro Police Department states that it allegedly happened close to 9:32 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Baker Street and Creath Avenue. According to the MO, the suspect had a box cutter, pushed the victim down, and took her phone so she could not call the police.

The suspect was described as a black male between 50 and 51, about 6’1″, and with a full beard. The alleged victim is a 49-year-old female described as having no relationship with her attacker.

The report states that an argument preceded the alleged attack.

The suspect could face charges including aggravated assault, a felony, and first-degree interference with emergency communication, a misdemeanor.
