JONESBORO, Ark. — Authorities responded to a shots fired call in what was described by police as an aggravated robbery just before 5 p.m. Wednesday in Jonesboro.
The incident was first reported to police at 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, according to JPD’s Public Information Official Sally Smith. It happened at the 1700 block of Wembleton. Preliminary details indicated that shots were fired at a homeowner during an aggravated robbery, and the homeowner fired rounds at the suspect or suspects.
As of 5:40 p.m., there were no reported injuries from the incident. There was a report of property damage. Rounds struck a vehicle associated with the homeowner, Smith said.
Authorities are actively investigating the incident. Few other details were available.
