JONESBORO, Ark. – A suspect faces numerous felony charges after an incident where he is alleged to have attacked both a nurse and a law enforcement officer at the hospital.
It happened between 11:15 AM and 11:40 AM on March 25 at St. Bernards Medical Center, 225 E. Washington Avenue in Jonesboro. Police working security at the hospital responded to a disturbance in the ICU regarding a mental health patient.
The report is masked while under investigation. However, visible details indicate a nurse had spit on his face and the officer had a busted lip from being struck.
Johnny Jones, 34, of Blytheville, was arrested on two charges of second degree battery, one involving police and one involving medical personnel. He was also arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
